I saw these two pictures pop up on Facebook quite a few times and it caught my eye.
So, I did some research and found this article on Real News 24. In the article, it says that since the financial crisis hit, about 8 million homes have been foreclosed by banks. It also says that an additional eight to 10 million homes would be foreclosed before the financial crisis is over. If this is true, then it means that there are 18.5 million vacant homes, and three million homeless [like these pictures indicate]— most of which are veterans.
